Preview: Davis Darts vs. Box Elder Bees
The Davis Darts will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Box Elder Bees at 6:35 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Davis was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 36-30 to Highland. Davis has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Caleb Taylor, who scored 6 points along with 5 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now stole two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ike Morgan, who scored 3 points along with 3 steals.
Meanwhile, Box Elder's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Olympus, falling 93-50. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Box Elder in their matchups with Olympus: they've now lost seven in a row.
The losses dropped Davis to 2-2 and Highland to 3-1.
Davis was able to grind out a solid win over Box Elder in their previous matchup back in December of 2020, winning 49-42. Will Davis repeat their success, or does Box Elder have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
