Basketball Recap: Luke Feldman's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Roncalli over Pike

Roncalli won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Wednesday. They came up short against the Pike Red Devils, falling 57-37. The Royals haven't had much luck with the Red Devils recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Several Royals players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Luke Feldman, who went 5 for 8 en route to 13 points. Another player making a difference was Noah Schmaltz, who posted seven points.

Pike's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aiden Woods, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 14 points. Woods continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Brennan Dokes was another key player, going 5 for 9 en route to 10 points and six boards.

Roncalli's defeat dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Pike, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Roncalli has already played their next game (against New Palestine), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Pike will square off against Indianapolis Shortridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Indianapolis Shortridge is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57 points per game this season.
