Volleyball Recap: Upper Scioto Valley Comes Up Short

Upper Scioto Valley lost against Columbus Grove back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rams came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-12, 25-8.

Upper Scioto Valley's offense was headlined by Raegan Castle and Layla Hunsicker, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Audrey Lawrence and her five assists.

Among those leading the charge was Saige Benroth, who had 11 digs. She has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Upper Scioto Valley dropped their record down to 2-4 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Columbus Grove, they moved to 2-4 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Upper Scioto Valley has already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against North Baltimore on the 28th. As for Columbus Grove, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Continental on the 2nd.
