Basketball Recap: Richland Drops Highest Score of Season Against Wayne County

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Richland). They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wayne County Wildcats on Friday, sneaking past 68-65. The victory was familiar territory for the Raiders who have now won three contests in a row.

Despite the loss, Wayne County still got an impressive performance from Cayman Camfield, who almost dropped a double-double on 29 points and nine boards. Camfield's evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Justice Bell was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Richland now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Wayne County, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Richland and Eagleville will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on December 20th. As for Wayne County, they will head out to take on East Hickman County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wayne County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully East Hickman County likes a good challenge.
