Baseball Game Preview: Beloit Trojans vs. Ellinwood Eagles

The Beloit Trojans will head out on the road to face off against the Ellinwood Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Beloit has nine straight victories, Ellinwood has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Beloit's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. Everything went their way against Plainville as they made off with a 17-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won eight contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Ellinwood suffered their biggest loss since April 25, 2025 on Thursday. They came up short against Russell, falling 11-1.

Ellinwood saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Banks Jacobs, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Beloit's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Ellinwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.
