Baseball Recap: Jeannette Wins Going Away Against Steel Valley

The third road game was the charm for Jeannette, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They blew past the Steel Valley Ironmen 10-2 on Thursday.

Amari Thomas was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Noah Rattigan was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

Jeannette always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .650. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Steel Valley only posted an OBP of .348.

Jeannette picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-3. As for Steel Valley, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Coming up, Jeannette will challenge Carmichaels at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Steel Valley, they will face off against Sto-Rox at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses apiece.
