Softball Recap: Centerville Comes Up Short

Centerville managed to slip by Eastern Hancock the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bulldogs lost 10-1 to the Royals on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Bulldogs couldn't push the score so high this time.

Centerville has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season. As for Eastern Hancock, they pushed their record up to 13-4 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Centerville will venture away from home to face off against Connersville at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Spartans have now posted at least ten runs in their last five matchups. As for Eastern Hancock, they will host Hagerstown at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Royals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 11.4 runs per game this season.
