Soccer Game Preview: Rubidoux vs. Bloomington

The Rubidoux Falcons are taking a road trip to square off against the Bloomington Bruins at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Rubidoux is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game last Thursday. They were one goals away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Fontana. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 950th, while the Steelers are ranked 448th).

Meanwhile, Bloomington was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Carter an easy 4-0 win.

Rubidoux's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9-1. As for Bloomington, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Rubidoux suffered a grim 5-0 defeat to Bloomington when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Can Rubidoux avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
