Football Recap: Elyria Takes a Loss

Elyria was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Lorain Titans 41-14. The Pioneers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-14.

Despite the loss, Elyria still got an impressive performance from Christian Rogers, who picked up 86 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Rogers really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 75 yards.

Elyria's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Lorain, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Elyria will be playing in front of their home fans against Brunswick at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lorain, they will venture away from home to challenge Sandusky at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
