Hartfield Academy had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.6 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the St. Joseph Catholic Bruins a 7-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-0 last Tuesday.

The team relied heavily on Graham Jackson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Sam Oakley was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Jackson wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Hartfield Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Joseph Catholic only managed four hits.

Hartfield Academy pushed their record up to 15-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for St. Joseph Catholic, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-7.
