Soccer Recap: Granite Hills Triumphs

Granite Hills had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Damien Spartans on Wednesday, sneaking past 2-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2019.

Nathan Rodriguez and Diego Perez scored both of Granite Hills' goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Damien's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3-1.

Granite Hills wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Temescal Canyon on the 5th. Damien has also already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Baldwin Park on the 5th.
