Baseball Recap: York Wins Going Away Against Holdrege

The York Dukes got the win against the Holdrege Dusters on Monday by a conclusive 12-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Dukes.

Kain Combs spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up nine Ks.

On the hitting side, Thomas Bonde and Eli Nething did most of the damage at the plate: Bonde scored three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Nething scored three runs while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Jackson Holoch, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

York's record now sits at 2-0. As for Holdrege, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
