Softball Recap: West Bloomfield Gets the Win

West Bloomfield won the last time they faced Southfield Arts & Tech and things went their way on Thursday too. The Lakers came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 12-9. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lakers.

The team relied heavily on LAIKEN CONNOR, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.

West Bloomfield's win bumped their record up to 6-21. As for Southfield Arts & Tech, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Bloomfield will face off against Ferndale at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.29 runs per game on average), something the Lakers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Southfield Arts & Tech, they will be taking part in a tournament against Fordson at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Warriors are facing the Tractors at the right time seeing as the Tractors are stuck on a 17-game losing streak.
