The scorekeeper got an easy start on Thursday as neither Cheney nor Medicine Lodge made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Cardinals never let the Indians get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Cardinals, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Kolt Kuhn and Kaden Ludwig did most of the damage at the plate: Kuhn went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one run, while Ludwig went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Ludwig has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Burdick, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Cheney's win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Medicine Lodge, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-6-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Cheney beat the Indians by a score of 7-2 later that day.
