Football Game Preview: Hackettstown Tigers vs. Kittatinny Regional Cougars

The Hackettstown Tigers will venture away from home to challenge the Kittatinny Regional Cougars at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hackettstown's defense has only allowed 15 points per game this season, so Kittatinny Regional's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Kittatinny Regional will be up against a hot Hackettstown squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Tigers took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 55-26 victory over North Warren Regional. The Tigers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Kittatinny Regional was not the first on the board on Friday, but they got there more often. They pulled ahead with a 14-13 photo finish over Wallkill Valley. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Hackettstown better keep an eye on Jack Brex. He was instrumental in Kittatinny Regional's win, rushing for 107 yards and one score on only 15 carries, while also throwing for 100 yards and one touchdown. Brex also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making two total tackles. 85 of Brex's passing yards were hauled in by Owen Simmons, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Hackettstown took their victory against Kittatinny Regional in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 34-13 score.
