The Alta Hawks will face off against the Brighton Bengals at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Alta is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.
Alta barely beat Granger the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Alta put the hurt on Granger with a sharp 12-2 victory on Monday. The Hawks not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 24, 2024.
Brielle Watson was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Anabel Velador, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Alta was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .391 or higher in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Brighton came up short against Maple Mountain on Monday, falling 16-3.
Olivia Issowits made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. Cynthia Knowlton was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Brighton now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Alta, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.
