Baseball Recap: Frontier Regional Takes a Loss

Frontier Regional lost against Wahconah Regional back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Red Hawks fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 3-2.

Frontier Regional got a good showing from Carter Miller, who tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time Miller hasn't allowed a single hit since back in April.

On the hitting side, Frontier Regional saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Cusson, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base. Cusson has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Frontier Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Wahconah Regional, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9.

Frontier Regional does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wahconah Regional, they will take on Greenfield at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Green Wave's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
