Game recap: Cleveland High School Football Team bests Rio Rancho

RIO RANCHO, N.M. - Rio Rancho (N.M.) lost to Cleveland (Rio Rancho, N.M.), 28-14.

After taking the lead on a Kian Homme touchdown pass to Marcus Williams in the second quarter, the Storm were up 14-7 at the half.

Cleveland grew its lead to 14 points entering the fourth quarter. CHS's lone score in the quarter came on a Nieto Jesse touchdown run.

The Storm went into the matchup giving up only 10.9 points per game. The 14 points that the Rams ended with were well below their average of 28.7 coming into the game.



The victory is a complete turnaround from last season's game between these two teams, which Rio Rancho took, 35-0.

The win brought Cleveland's winning streak to four games.
