Volleyball Recap: Sharpstown Comes Up Short

If Sharpstown was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Westbury on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Apollos came up short against the Galena Park Yellowjackets on Friday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Apollos in their meetings with the Yellowjackets: they've now lost eight in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-5, 25-12.

Sharpstown's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Galena Park, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-12 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Sharpstown is set to face off against their familiar foe Carnegie Vanguard at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Galena Park will challenge rival Westbury at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
