Basketball Recap: Neligh-Oakdale Takes a Loss

Neligh-Oakdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 30th straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 61-26 loss at the hands of the West Holt Huskies. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-6.

Lincoln Konrad continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for West Holt, putting up ten points along with seven boards and five assists. With that strong performance, Konrad is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. Kellen Monasterio was another key player, posting 11 points and three steals.

Neligh-Oakdale's loss dropped their record down to 0-17. As for West Holt, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-3.

Neligh-Oakdale will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bloomfield at 7:30 p.m. on February 11th. As for West Holt, they will venture away from home to take on O'Neill at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. West Holt is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.4 points per game this season.
