Football Recap: Strong Effort on D from Jada Harper and Anitra Charlton Leads Southridge over Everglades

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Southridge had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Everglades Gators a 7-0 shutout. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Spartans also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Southridge has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.3 points on average over those games. As for Everglades, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 9-4 record.

Southridge wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 27-0 loss against St. Thomas Aquinas on the 28th. Everglades does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
