Soccer Recap: Leavenworth Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Leavenworth lost against Shawnee Heights back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The PIONEERS lost 12-0 to the Thunderbirds. While losing is never fun, Leavenworth can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas soccer rankings (they are ranked 104th, while Shawnee Heights are ranked seventh).

Leavenworth's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Shawnee Heights, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Leavenworth will venture away from home to face off against West at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Shawnee Heights, they will challenge St. Mary's Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Shawnee Heights are facing St. Mary's Academy at the right time seeing as St. Mary's Academy are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
