Volleyball Game Preview: Orland Trojans vs. West Valley Eagles

Orland hasn't had much luck against West Valley recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Trojans will square off against the Eagles at 9:00 a.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Orland comes in on 12 and West Valley on three.

Orland is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Gridley with a sharp 3-0 win.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-13, 25-17.

Meanwhile, West Valley beat Yreka 3-1 on Tuesday.

West Valley had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-19, 25-12, 25-9.

West Valley's victory bumped their record up to 23-8. As for Orland, their win bumped their record up to 34-4.

Orland couldn't quite get it done against West Valley in their previous matchup back in September as they fell 3-1. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
