Volleyball Recap: Donovan Comes Up Short + How To Watch

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Donovan and Grant Park, and Grant Park kept the tradition alive. The Wildcats took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dragons on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Dragons this season, with their most recent loss being a 2-0 defeat last Tuesday.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-15.

Layne Hefflefinger paced Donovan's offense, picking up five kills. Hefflefinger got some help from Lily Anderson and her eight assists.

Among those leading the charge was Emily Lenczycki, who had 15 digs.

Donovan has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-16 record this season. As for Grant Park, they have been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-13 record this season.

Donovan has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Marquette on the 27th. Grant Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
