Basketball Recap: St. Joseph Catholic Takes a Loss

St. Joseph Catholic was the 47-30 winner over Somerville when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The St. Joseph Catholic Eagles took a hard 53-37 fall against the Somerville Yeguas on Thursday. The Eagles' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

St. Joseph Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Somerville, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-3 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Joseph Catholic and Richards will face off at 9:00 a.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Richards will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something St. Joseph Catholic surely won't give up without a fight. As for Somerville, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Non Varsity Tournament Opponent at 11:30 a.m. on Friday.
