Basketball Recap: Saint Jo Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Forestburg typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Saint Jo proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Forestburg Longhorns by a score of 49-39. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Longhorns back in January, they had to take a 48-40 loss.

Forestburg lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jesse Wadsworth, who posted 15 points. The match was Wadsworth's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jesus Sanchez, who earned 11 points.

Saint Jo's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 16-13. As for Forestburg, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 19-6.

Saint Jo will take on Prairie Valley at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Forestburg, they will square off against Gold-Burg at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
