Recap: Terrell County Greenwave vs. Mitchell County Eagles
The Terrell County Greenwave came tearing into Tuesday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 67-23 victory over Mitchell County. With Terrell County ahead 36-13 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Terrell County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jentaiya Rushing out in front who scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rushing has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tadreuna Rogers, who scored 17 points.
Terrell County is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. As for Mitchell County, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-17.
Terrell County will be playing in front of their home fans against the Red Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Randolph-Clay is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Mitchell County, they will head out on the road to square off against the Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
