Recap: Clymer Central Pirates vs. Westfield Wolverines
The Clymer Central Pirates lost against the Westfield Wolverines back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Clymer Central took a hard 56-40 fall against Westfield. While losing is never fun, Clymer Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 538th, while Westfield is ranked 88th).
Clymer Central's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carson White, who scored 16 points. That's the first time this season that White scored 15 or more points. Kaden Beckerink was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with five rebounds.
Clymer Central's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Westfield, the win (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 14-1.
Clymer Central will be playing at home against Sherman at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sherman is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Westfield, they will head out on the road to face off against Brocton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
