Volleyball Game Preview: Lake Minneola Hawks vs. Lake Buena Vista Vipers

The Lake Minneola Hawks will take on the Lake Buena Vista Vipers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Lake Buena Vista will be up against a hot Lake Minneola team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Hawks were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over South Lake on Tuesday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-16, 25-20.

Among those leading the charge was Viktorya Odrzywolski, who had 15 assists and three digs.

Lake Minneola was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces in three consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Lake Buena Vista had no problem doing just that on Monday. They put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 3-0 win. The Vipers haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Lake Buena Vista took every set by at least 14 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-11, 25-9.

Lake Buena Vista's win bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Lake Minneola, their victory bumped their record up to 18-6.
