The team relied heavily on Jt Dowd, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Weston Jones was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, Delta took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by an 11-1 margin over Hillcrest. The Rabbits not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 9, 2024.
Cy Droubay was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Droubay was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
In other pitching news, Hunt Roninson looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.
Back at the plate, Kyler Davies was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Carson Nielson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Delta always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .536. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hillcrest only posted an OBP of .316.
Grand County now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Delta, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
