The Round Mountain Knights scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 72-55 win over American Heritage Academy. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Round Mountain.
Round Mountain got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Keiran Swafford out in front who scored 23 points. Blake Bullington was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
When it comes to explaining why American Heritage Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jacob Rodrigues. Despite the final result, he scored 35 points. That was a full 63.6% of American Heritage Academy's points, marking the seventh time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Round Mountain is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for American Heritage Academy, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Round Mountain won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Beatty at 5:30 p.m. on January 26th.
