Lakeland Christian came into Saturday's game having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Lake Region Thunder on Saturday. This was payback for the Vikings, who suffered a 2-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Lily Kettler paced Lakeland Christian's offense, picking up seven kills. Kettler got some help from LaVon Pozar and her 13 assists. Sophia Kettler controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Lakeland Christian's victory bumped their record up to 6-13. As for Lake Region, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-15.

Coming up, Lakeland Christian will host Auburndale at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lake Region, they will take on Frostproof in a tournament on Friday.
