League recap: Mill Valley cracks Kansas' top 25 rankings

Kaw Valley league recap: 5/22/13

With a big week, Mill Valley jumped into the top 25 in the state rankings. Mill Valley moved up from No. 29 in the state all the way to No. eight thanks to a 2-0 record over the past week. Led by manager Jeff Strickland, the Jaguars are ranked No. 351 in the nation with an overall record of 14-2.

The Jaguars had a successful week, as they won two total games to lead Kaw Valley. Mill Valley beat St. James Academy 12-2.

Basehor-linwood boasted the best pitching over the past week, holding opponents to the league's fewest hits and issuing the fewest walks.

The week's strikeout crown belonged to Andrew Magana, who turned in three Ks for the Bobcats. He's tenth in the league with ten total strikeouts.
