Basketball Recap: Hammonton Gets Big Win over Higher-Ranked Lower Cape May

Hammonton's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They took down the Lower Cape May Tigers 58-44. The win was all the more spectacular given the Blue Devils' disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 354th, while the Tigers are ranked 173rd).

Hammonton's victory bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Lower Cape May, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Hammonton has already played their next game (against Cumberland), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lower Cape May will take on Bridgeton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bridgeton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57 points per game this season.
