Soccer Game Preview: Rowland vs. Nogales

The Rowland Raiders are taking a road trip to square off against the Nogales Nobles at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Rowland is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against La Puente on Thursday. Both finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Nogales kept a clean sheet against Garden Grove on Friday. They won by a goal and slipped past the Argonauts 1-0. Given the Nobles' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 177th, while the Argonauts are ranked 388th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Rowland's draw makes their record 3-2-1 this season. As for Nogales, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1-1.

Rowland came up short against Nogales in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 3-1. Can Rowland avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
