Basketball Recap: Greybull Comes Up Short

Greybull suffered their closest defeat since January 18th on Friday. They fell just short of the Shoshoni Wranglers by a score of 46-44. The Buffaloes' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Shoshoni got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Natalie Gilbertson out in front who went 10-for-21 on her way to 25 points and five steals. The dominant performance also gave Gilbertson a new career-high in field goal percentage (48%). Another player making a difference was Kaylor McConnaughey, who posted seven points along with nine assists and five rebounds.

Greybull's record now sits at 4-17. As for Shoshoni, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 6-15.

Looking ahead, Greybull won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Big Horn at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Shoshoni does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
