Rootstown's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Southeast Pirates as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Rovers haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

The victory didn't come easy: Southeast scored at least 18 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-21, 25-18.

Sophi Smith paced Rootstown's offense, picking up eight kills. Smith got some help from Olivia O'Neill and her eight assists. Finally, Colbie Curall kept Rootstown's defense grounded, leading the team with six blocks.

Rootstown now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Southeast, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Rootstown wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Trinity on the 21st. As for Southeast, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Newton Falls on the 20th.
