Baseball Recap: Highlands Takes a Loss

Highlands fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Freedom Area on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 10-7 to the Bulldogs. The Golden Rams just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Will Singer was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Kristian Kocon was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Highlands' record now sits at 6-8. As for Freedom Area, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Highlands will venture away from home to challenge Greensburg Salem at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Freedom Area, they will host Aliquippa at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
