Baseball Recap: Germantown Friends vs. Westtown
Germantown Friends was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 8-3 to Westtown. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Germantown Friends of the 1-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.
Emerson Van Cleve made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Manni Heyer-Rivera, who went 1-for-4 with a triple and an RBI.
