Soccer Recap: Sequoyah Takes a Loss

Sequoyah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 9-0 to the South-Doyle Cherokees. While losing is never fun, Sequoyah can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 240th, while South-Doyle are ranked 30th).

Sequoyah's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6-1. As for South-Doyle, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sequoyah will host Loudon at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for South-Doyle, they will look to defend their home pitch on Monday against Cocke County at 6:00 p.m. Cocke County will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something South-Doyle surely won't give up without a fight.
