Volleyball Recap: New Lisbon Takes a Loss

New Lisbon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Wonewoc-Center Wolves. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-13, 25-17.

New Lisbon's offense was headlined by Brooklyn Lowe and Heidi Mathes, who picked up three kills apiece. Mathes really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with six. Aria Knee controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Wonewoc-Center found their leader in freshman Faith Daugs, who had 15 digs and three assists.

New Lisbon's loss dropped their record down to 5-21. As for Wonewoc-Center, their record now sits at 13-9.

Looking ahead, New Lisbon is taking a road trip to face off against Riverdale at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wonewoc-Center, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against La Farge at 7:00 p.m.
