After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Highland, Washington was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They skirted past the Hampshire Trojans 3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Patriots, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Brayden Edwards was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Washington is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-9-1 record this season. As for Hampshire, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-14.

Looking ahead, Washington will be playing in front of their home fans against Musselman at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Hampshire, they will head out on the road to challenge Lincoln at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
