Baseball Recap: Palmer Ridge Extends Winning Streak to Three

Palmer Ridge proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 14) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Vista Ridge Wolves 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bears have posted against the Wolves since May 7, 2019.

Eli Arellano was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Palmer Ridge is undefeated when Arellano posts two or more runs, but 2-5 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxon Meider, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Palmer Ridge hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Vista Ridge struck out 12 times.

The victory was the third in a row for Palmer Ridge, bringing their record up to 5-5. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Vista Ridge, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Palmer Ridge will welcome Coronado at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Vista Ridge, they will host Pueblo West at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. This will be the Wolves' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
