Basketball Recap: Cimora Rorie and Aleksandra Kubiak Secure Win for Winston Salem Christian

Winston Salem Christian's tournament run continued when they took on Arborbrook Christian Academy on Friday. The Winston Salem Christian Lions walked away with a 68-59 win over the Arborbrook Christian Academy Falcons.

Winston Salem Christian was led to victory by Aleksandra Kubiak and Cimora Rorie. Kubiak posted 25 points and three steals, while Rorie scored 12 points and four steals. Rorie continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Talia Edmond, who had four points and seven rebounds.

Winston Salem Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in three consecutive games.

Winston Salem Christian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.5 points over those games. As for Arborbrook Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-2.

As of now, neither Winston Salem Christian nor Arborbrook Christian Academy have any future games scheduled.
