If Wells wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Virginia City, they should've done a better job of containing Caleb Olee. The Muckers managed a 12-6 win over the Leopards on Friday with plenty of help from Olee, who rushed for 132 yards and two scores while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making eight total tackles.

Wells' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Max Dahl, who rushed for 109 yards and one TD, and Johnny Glascock, who rushed for 55 yards.

The victory made it two in a row for Virginia City and bumps their season record up to 2-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 20 points in those games. As for Wells, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.

Virginia City will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Mammoth at 6:00 p.m. on the 18th. As for Wells, they will welcome McDermitt at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
