Recap: Immaculate Mustangs vs. Harding Presidents
The Immaculate Mustangs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Harding 66-64. The win was some much needed relief for Immaculate as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Despite the loss, Harding still got an impressive performance from Craig Chandler, who scored 22 points along with six rebounds and four blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamaar Wright Jr., who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
Even though they lost, Harding were working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Immaculate's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Harding, they bumped their record down to 3-5 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Immaculate will be playing in front of their home fans against Kolbe-Cathedral at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kolbe-Cathedral knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight matchups -- so hopefully Immaculate likes a good challenge. As for Harding, they will head out on the road to face off against Bridgeport Central at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
