After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Kaiser, Jurupa Hills was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They blew past the Arroyo Valley Hawks, posting a 50-8 victory. The contest marked the Spartans' most dominant win of the season.

Jurupa Hills' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emelie Castrejon led the charge by throwing for 340 yards and eight TDs. Those eight passing touchdowns gave Castrejon a new career-high. Jaylene Murillo was in the mix as well, providing Jurupa Hills with two touchdowns.

Jurupa Hills didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Murillo led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself.

Jurupa Hills' victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Arroyo Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Jurupa Hills wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 21-14 win against Summit on the 7th. Arroyo Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
