Baseball Game Preview: Malden Catholic Lancers vs. Catholic Memorial Knights

Malden Catholic is 2-8 against Catholic Memorial since May of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Lancers will host the Knights at 4:00 p.m. Malden Catholic has given up an average of 9.3 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Malden Catholic is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They came up short against St. John's on Monday, falling 15-5. The Lancers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Catholic Memorial, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Boston College High on Monday, sneaking past 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Knights have posted since June 1, 2024.

Malden Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Catholic Memorial, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.
