It was a good run, but Shady Spring unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Spring Valley Timberwolves by a score of 2-1. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Timberwolves earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Shady Spring's offense was headlined by Alivia Stover and Reagan Mann, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Bryanna Shrewsberry and her ten assists. Baylee Richmond controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Shady Spring's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Spring Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1-1.

Looking ahead, Shady Spring will be playing at home against Greenbrier East at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give the Tigers their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Spring Valley, they have already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Woodrow Wilson on the 23rd.
