Basketball Recap: Dike-New Hartford Comes Up Short

Dike-New Hartford was the 66-42 winner over Grundy Center when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Dike-New Hartford Wolverines were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 36-35 to the Grundy Center Spartans. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dike-New Hartford's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Grundy Center, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dike-New Hartford will take on Jesup at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Grundy Center, they will welcome Wapsie Valley at 6:15 p.m. on Monday.
